The national jet ski championship series will begin in Phitsanulok next month, organisers said yesterday.
The season-opening event, one of the four national championship tournaments, will be held at Bueng Ratchanok from April 3-4, Sanit Vorapanya, president of the Jet Ski Association of Thailand, said.
The second leg will take place in Rayong from May 22-23, and the final leg will be at Cha-am beach, Phetchaburi from July 3-4.
The third event is scheduled from June 12-13 but the venue is not yet determined.
Phitsan ulok Governor Preecha Rueangchan said he hoped the event would attract some 10,000 spectators and this would help promote the province's tourism industry.
Sanit said he had received offers from several provinces which wanted to host a national championship event but unfortunately there are only four tournaments annually.
