Hurricane Earl expected to disrupt New Jersey coast
The New Jersey coast — particularly Atlantic and Cape May counties — will get elbowed by Hurricane Earl Friday with tropical force winds at over 40 miles per hour, heavy rain and dangerous surf.

Personal watercraft banned on Lake Austin during Labor Day weekend

Personal watercraft banned
The use of personal watercraft, wet bikes, motorized surfboards and similar devices will be banned on Lake Austin over the Labor Day weekend beginning at sunset today.
Officials say the annual ban, which will be lifted at sunrise Tuesday, is needed to ensure the safety of the large number of people who will be using the lake over the holiday weekend. Officials urge boaters to call 911 to report the reckless operation of boats or emergencies.

Jet ski mission put on hold after rescue
The group including two kiwis jet skiing from London to Auckland has had to be rescued.
They were crossing the Aegean Sea after setting out from the island of Karpathos when bad weather struck bringing four metre waves and 70 kilometre an hour winds.

I have spent a bit of time on a jet ski this summer and I think most guys that ride them will tell you in rough water they can be rough on your boys
